While there's no better way to preserve something forever than to seal it up in a cool, dark, dry place safe from the elements and far from the prying eyes, that lack of accessibility defeats the purpose of cultural heritage preservation. A legacy is a gift meant to be shared. That's why we take accessibility as seriously as storage.
